Something missing in here? Please inform me over AIM: Final Angiak

GENERAL QUESTIONS:

Q: Where are the switch palaces / mushroom houses / etc?

A: Try looking at the complete map found at http://jeffreymr.tripod.com/board/dwtlcover.txt to awnser these questions.

Key:

M: This exit requires a Mushroom (Super Mario) to find.
C: This exit requires a Cape to find.
F: This exit requires a Fire Flower to find.
Y: This exit requires a Yoshi to find.
E: This exit requires one of the special items from a Toad's House to find.

Misty Isle notes:

Misty Isle 4 Secret Exit: Anyone who's ever played Mario 3 will recognize this level as a recreation of level 1-1. Anyone who's ever played Mario 3 thoroughly will remember that if one "ducks" while on top of a white block for several seconds, he will "fall" behind that block. This trick works in Demo World as well. If you duck on top of the white block in this level for a sufficient amount of time, you’ll fall behind it and be able to proceed behind the background. If you run all the way to the right of the level in this state, you’ll reach the key and keyhole.

Misty Isle Secret: If you fly to the top of the toad house, you’ll reach a gray block that will put a goomba in your reserve box. Why would you want a goomba in your reserve box? Read on…

Misty Castle Secret Exit (C, E): To get the secret exit, go to the second area of the castle and get past the three thwomps. You will now be at a lava pit with the blocks moving horizontally across it. Go past this pit, but then turn around and get a running start. You’ll have to time it so that you can run off the edge of the pit and fall on top of the right block that was moving horizontally. If you do so, you can then fly up above the pit into two corridors – one on the left and one on the right. The left one has a 3-up, and the right one leads to a door to the secret exit. In the next room, you’ll need to use your goomba and kick it through the enemy-only block to hit the block above it and trigger a vine to emerge. Follow the vine to the key and keyhole. And make sure to read the information blocks in this area, they’re very important…

Desert World notes:

Desert World 2 Secret Exit (C): If you use the cape and fly up at the beginning of the level, you can reach the key. Take it with you and go down the first pipe. After you emerge in the new area, go down the pipe on your left, which’ll lead to the keyhole surrounded by blocks. Drop your key off here and proceed to the left. Eventually, you’ll reach some rotating platforms and an arrow made out of coins that points up. Fly up that area to get a gray P-block and take it with you back to the right. You’ll need to fly up a corridor in order to get back into the area with a bunch of yellow pipes side by side. When you make it back up there, hit the gray P-block and fall down onto the chomping plants, which have now been converted into coins. You’ll fall through the floor (fake wall) and into the corridor beneath. Take the pipe down there to reach a blue P-block, and hit that one and take the pipe to the left to get back to the keyhole, whose surrounding blocks should have changed to coins. You now can exit the level.

Desert World 2 Normal Exit: Be sure to note that there are TWO clouds that you'll need to ride on across the level. The second is right below the first, be sure to "activate" it.

Desert Pyramid Regular Exit: In order to reach this exit, you need one of the two P-blocks in this level. The first one can be found above the lava pit in the eastern part of the level, but you need a fire flower in order to destroy the blocks surrounding it. The second one can be found by taking the exit at the far right of the pyramid, which leads to the “outer” area. If you go left and take the top pipe, you’ll be lead into a dead end with a power-up and P-block. Once you have a P-block, you need to down the pipe in the bottom of the main pyramid, not far to the left of the fire pit. Go all the way down the pit with the P-block, and use it at the bottom to change the blocks in your way to coins and reach Renzor.

Desert Pyramid Secret Exit (C, F): For this exit, you’ll need both P-blocks. Make sure you have a flower in your inventory before trying this. A cape may be necessary as well because you can’t easily climb chains when you’re carrying an item. First, get the one outside, and bring it down the pipe needed to reach Renzor. You’ll notice the key as you descend this area. Stand on the platform just on the other side of the wall blocking the key and hit the P-block. This wall will change to coins, allowing you access to the key. Take it back to the main area and go straight up, which will lead to a corridor at the top of the screen that leads left. At the end of this corridor is a text block. Drop the key here and go get the other P-block, making use of your fire flower. Make sure you do not leave the main area as you do this, or else the key will disappear. Bring the P-block to where the key is and hit it. A couple of blocks on the ceiling of the end of the corridor will turn to coins. Jump up on top of the screen with the key, and run all the way to the right. This will lead to the keyhole.

Desert Castle Secret Exit (C, E recommended): If you have access to a gray block containing a goomba or koopa, it’s recommended that you bring it with you for this exit. If you don’t have one, you’ll at least need a cape. When you enter the level, you’re soon faced with a split in the path: a low road and a high road. If you have a goomba/koopa, take the low path. If you don’t, take the high one. We’ll assume you don’t for the moment, but if you do, you can skip the next couple steps. If you take the high path, you’ll be led down a pipe which will lead to a new area. Head to the right, past the koopas climbing on the chain link fence. There will be a lone koopa past this area, jump on him and take his shell. Continue to the right with it until you see a blue pipe in the ceiling. Fly up with your shell and through the pipe. You’ll emerge at the area you started in, with your shell. Slightly to your left will be a block surrounded by two enemy-only blocks. Kick the koopa shell down there to hit the block and reveal a P-block. Likewise, if you started the level with an enemy item and took the lower path, you’ll end up at this area and be able to use your item to hit the block containing the P-block. Hit the P-block, and head right and up the coins-to-blocks and into a blue pipe. Go through the next area safely to reach the key and keyhole.

Water World notes:

Water World 1 Secret Exit: When you reach the end of the level and emerge on dry land, enter back into the pipe you came from to reach a new exit with a goalpost.

Water World 4 Secret Exit: The first thing you have to do in this level is to ignore the key and blue P-block and swim as far right as you can, until you’re blocked by the electric jellyfish. When you reach this point, swim up the pipe in this area and take a koopa shell and go back down into the water. Use the shell to hit the lone yellow block in this area and reveal a gray P-block. Don’t hit this yet. Instead, go back and get the key, which is back at the beginning of the level, just take the bottom path instead of the top one. Bring the key to the area with the keyhole and drop it in there, through the enemy-only blocks. Next, find the blue P-block, which is directly below the keyhole area (swim left, down, and then right to reach it). Bring it back with you to the area where the gray P-block is and hit them both. Collect the coins around the pipe on the left EXCEPT for the one right below the pipe on the right, since you’ll need this one to change back to solid so that you can stand on it and enter the pipe. This pipe will lead to the keyhole and the key, assuming you left the key there like you were supposed to.

Water Secret Secret: If you have a blue shell or lakitu cloud, you can use it in order to ascend into the skies above the toad’s house and reach a secret exit that leads to World 7.

Ship Graveyard Secret Exit: There is no secret exit here. The key is an accident. Ignore it.

Water Castle Secret Exit: Continue through this level as normal until you reach the area with the rising/falling tide. Once you pass the initial room and enter the area with the swinging ball and chains, you’ll notice a pit at the beginning of this area. “Fall” down it to reach the key and keyhole.

Crystal Cavern Notes:

Crystal Cavern 1 Secret Exit (C): Go through this level as normal until you see a corridor that you can fly up. Do so. This will lead to a path that goes to the right that will lead into a pipe. This pipe leads to an area with a few “?” blocks, one of them containing the key. Once you have the key, exit this area through the same pipe you came through to reach the keyhole.

Vacant Ghost House Normal Exit: When you reach the second area, with all the doors, take the third one. Then run all the way to the left and take the door there. This will lead to the exit.

Vacant Ghost House Secret Exit (C): Grab the key at the beginning and fly straight up and left to reach a platform. Be sure to taken note of what the information box says. Then look to the right, and you’ll notice that one of the “windows” in the background contains the keyhole. Very clever. Jump over to it to exit the level.

Crystal Castle Normal Exit: It should be noted that the initial area is very tricky, and you WILL get hit at least once. You need to reach the midway point and then get killed. Then when you resume the level, you’ll be past the spiked ceiling area. In the area with all the giant spiked crushing things and Thwomps, first grab the P-block from the yellow block next to the three "?" blocks. Then you must reach the top of the screen by jumping on the block that moves up and down (it’s not hard to miss.) You must continue to the right, but beware – the spiked pillars will damage you at the top of the screen while they’re “up”, so only run past them or jump over them when they’re down. When you reach the edge of the ledge at the top of the screen, hit the P-block and jump over to the right when the spiked pillar is down. Land on the solid blocks and go through the boss door when it passes by the ledge (keep hitting up as it moves.)

Crystal Castle Secret Exit (C): In the area with all the giant spiked crushing things and Thwomps, you must reach the top of the screen by jumping on the block that moves up and down (it’s not hard to miss.) You must continue to the right, but beware – the spiked pillars will damage you at the top of the screen while they’re “up”, so only run past them or jump over them when they’re down. Head over as far to the right as you can, and then jump off and float to the right with your cape to reach the key. Once the key is attained, float back to the left and go back on the top of the screen. Now head left (note that you need to get some height to start going left… try flying), but once again, watch out for the spiked pillars. If you take the key all the way to the left, you’ll reach an off screen keyhole and exit the level.

Sky World notes:

Sky World 2 Secret Exit: First of all, find a koopa shell to take with you. You’ll need it. Then go through the level until you get past having to squeeze through the yellow pipes with piranha plants. After this, go down the “pit” and head right under the blocks, and you’ll see the key and keyhole. Use the shell to destroy the block in your path, and go into the small area and exit the level.

Sky World 3 Secret Exit (C): At the beginning of the level, fly left with your cape to reach an area with the key and keyhole.

Sky World 6 Secret Exit: Continue through the level as normal until you reach the area with 6 question mark blocks next to each other, right before the small cloud platforms. Fly up here (or use a Lakitu’s cloud) to reach a pipe that will take you to a new area. Note the background here, we’ll call it the “day” version of this area. Head down and left to find a yellow block with a P-block inside. Take the P-block and head right until you reach an area with a lone “?” block with a coin inside. Use the P-block here and climb the “?” blocks that appear and enter the pipe. You’ll now be in the “morning” version of the area. Head to the right, remaining on the top path, until you reach a pink pipe. Go into this pipe to reach the “night” version. Head all the way to the right to find the key. Take the key and go in either of the two pipes you entered before to go back to the “morning” version. Now head all the way to the right and enter the pipe to return to the “day” version. Once again, go all the way to the right to find the keyhole and exit the level. Whew.

Sky Castle Secret Exit: In the second area, with the Magikoopas, near the end, there are three breakable blocks above one of the platforms. Hit the one on the right to get a P-block. Bring the P-block into the next area and hit it, which will reveal some coins underneath the arrow pointing up. Go in the middle of those coins and hit “up” to enter an invisible door and reach the key and keyhole.

Ice World notes:

Ice World 1 Secret Exit: Towards the end of the first area, the path splits up and right, with right leading to a dead end… or not. Keep heading right, and through a fake wall, to reach the key and keyhole.

Ice World 2 Secret Exit: When you start this level, fall down the second pit to reach the keyhole. Note this location, obviously it’ll come in handy later. Now head all the way to the right until you’re forced to scale a cliff. Instead of going up, go down in the space below the cliff to reach the key. Now take the key all the way back to the left and fall down the pit to reach the keyhole.

Ice World Igloo Secret Exit (F): Head through the level as normal, until you get to the end where you need to scale a vertical passage by freezing coins and jumping on them. Freeze the first (lower) set, but not the second. Instead, collect the second set of coins and shoot a fireball at the left wall to destroy a block. Head through the left wall to reach the key and keyhole.

Ice Castle Secret Exit: Go through the yellow pipe to the right in the area where you have to use a P-block to cross a pit. In this underground area, go up the pipe located before the wall of destructible blocks. Go through the next area and down the pipe at the end to reach the (supposedly) same area, only now you're to the right of the destructible blocks. Use a cape or koopa shells to break the destructible wall, and head all the way to the left and through the pipe you originally entered this area from. Instead of going back to the previous area, you'll reach the key and keyhole.

Pipe World notes:

Pipe World 1 Secret Exit: Watch the intro for the trick to doing this one. Basically, what you have to do at the end is throw the key up in the air, duck, jump, press up to start climbing the vine (while ducking!), and then catch the key while on the vine. Then, you can jump left and pass through the blocks, because it still counts as you’re ducking or something. It’s probably a glitch, and you basically have to watch the intro movie to have a hope of discovering it without help.

Pipe World 2 Normal Exit: First things first, you should start this level with a cape. It'll make things a lot easier. But since not everyone will, I'm writing these directions assuming that you DON'T have a cape, because it's either that or I write two sets. So anyways..

Go up the first blue pipe. go in the right green pipe, right blue pipe, right green pipe, upper green pipe, left blue pipe, lower green pipe, lower blue, upper blue, upper green, jump to make four invisible blocks appear, then take the left green, lower blue, upper blue, upper green. You'll come out on top of the blocks that you made appear (although sometimes you'll fall through them, which is bad. If this happens, just loop again and hope for the best.) Go in the left green pipe, and then the third blue pipe. You'll reach an area with powerups. If you're small, be sure to only hit the blocks one at a time so you can get a mushroom and then a feather (instead of two mushrooms.) Go down the blue pipe, up the fourth green pipe, left green, right green, down blue, and hit the block here with your cape to get a P-block. Bring it with you of course. Then go up green, left green, up green, left blue (this should be familiar..), lower green pipe, lower blue, upper blue, upper green (again, try not to fall through the blocks), left green, up the 6th (green) pipe, down, right, left, right. Hit the P-block and go down the pipe.. phew!

Pipe Fortress Normal Exit: If you’ve never played Mario 3, you may have trouble with this one. Basically, what you have to do is collect a feather and then fly up in the “dead” room to find a pipe and go in there. If you need to find a feather, there’s a P-block in the main room full of destroyable blocks. It’s in the top block four to the right of the two metal blocks. If you hit it, a secret door will appear that leads to power-ups.

Pipe World 5 Secret Exit (Y): This secret requires a Yoshi, and since this level features a cool red one, you might as well use that. Anyways, go through the level until you reach a part where there are four blue and green horizontal pipes that you have to choose from. Instead of going in one of those, go in the small vertical pipe nearby. This will lead to an area that only Yoshi can cross. Go to the other side and grab the key and exit this area (note this Yoshi can’t bring the key to the next area in his mouth, you need to bring it by hand. So you have to leave the Yoshi behind. Lame, I know.) Once you’re back in the main area, head to the right to find the keyhole.

Pipe Castle Secret Exit: You need to have the Vine item in order to get this secret. Go through the first area of the castle until you reach two pipes, one leading up and one leading down. Take the one leading down. In this area, head left until you see some enemy-only blocks on the ceiling. Use the vine item so that the vine “eats” one of these blocks, and then bounce off of a koopa to reach the vine and climb it. Go in the pipe up there to reach the key and keyhole.

Bowser’s World notes:

Bowser’s World 2 Secret Exit (C): Right before the end of this rather tedious level, there is enough room to start flying, so get a running start and fly to the left. Stay at the top of the screen and eventually you’ll reach a passage with the key and keyhole inside.

Renzor’s Fortress Secret Exit (C): At the end of the first area, fall into the pit on the right and press right to reach the key. Use the springy platform to get back up to the pipe (there’s an invisible coin box which will help you.) Take the key to the end of the second area, where you need to fly up and over the top-right wall to reach the keyhole.

Bowser’s Castle Normal Exit: Note that this is only a way to do this, and not the way. There may be an easier way. I don’t know. The one I’ll describe requires that you have at least one switch palace activated, which should be a given so late in the game. There may be another, easier way. If you have one, feel free to tell me.

1.In the beginning area, head to the right past the lava pit and climb the chain to reach a higher room. Go past the spikes and enter the door here.
2. In the next area, head all the way to the left across the fire pits and go in the door.
3. In this area, filled with spikes and bouncing fireballs, head all the way to the right and enter the door.
4. In the ball-and-chain room, head right and go in the second door.
5. From here on, the path is straightforward. Good luck.

Bowser’s Castle Secret Exit: Note that this is only a way to do this, and not the way. There may be an easier way. I don’t know. But the fact is that this path will get you to your goal with the minimum amount of confusion:

1. In the beginning area, head to the right past the lava pit and climb the chain to reach a higher room. Go past the spikes and enter the door here.
2. In the next area, head all the way to the left across the fire pits and go in the door.
3. In this area, filled with spikes and bouncing fireballs, head all the way to the right and enter the door.
4. In the ball-and-chain room, head right and go in the first door.
5. Travel through the next room to the fire pit, and then go up and take the top door.
6. Key + keyhole = Victory.

Star Road notes:

IMPORTANT: It is very important to note that the Star Road levels are meant to be completed in a certain manner. First, the normal exit should be taken, and then the secret area. If you do not do things in this manner, you won’t be able to complete the Star Road. And if you do this in the Bowser Star Road level, well… you won’t be able to access a lot of DW:TLC’s best features. So take heed.

Misty Star World Secret Exit: Go through the level as normal until you are given a choice to take the “upper” or “lower” path – when you reach the first one of those blocks that lets you run up a wall. Don’t take that route. Instead, use your fire flower to smash through the ice blocks, but stay low near the ground. Then switch to the cape and smash through the destructible blocks. Be sure to hit the 5th block from the bottom in the very right-hand column – this block contains a star. Get the star and continue on in the level, hitting all the “?” blocks to get more stars. Eventually you will reach a block with a P-block inside. Carry the P-block with you, don’t use it. Go on the upper path, on top of the dangerous black plants with your star. Keep on the upper path with your P-block until you reach the key. Then try to juggle the key and P-block, hitting them both up the “stairs” of blocks until you reach the end. When the keyhole is in sight, hit the P-block to change the wall of blocks into coins so that you can take the key to the keyhole.

Desert Star World Secret Exit (C): Go through the level until you reach the place with the jumping blocks, right before the second blue pipe (if you went in the first blue pipe, you’ll exit here.) You’ll notice a bunch of destructible blocks above you. Use your cape to smash the blocks below in order to create a runaway with which you can fly up and reach the key located in the middle of the blocks above. Once you have the key, continue up the slope to the right until you reach the top. At the top, fall down the first pit to reach a corridor that leads to the keyhole.

Water Star World Secret Exit: At the very beginning of the level, swim up the left-hand wall as fast as you can in order to reach a gray P-block and star. Pick up the gray P-block and take the star. Continue through the level as normal, making sure to hit all the “?” blocks and taking the stars within. Eventually, you’ll reach the normal exit to the water area, signified by a wall of electric jellyfish and blue pipe. But with your invincibility, you can swim under this wall to reach a new area. Continue along this path, trying to stay near the top. Eventually, you’ll find the key, surrounded by electric jellyfish. Use your P-block here and grab it (or, if you have a Yoshi, you can avoid needing the P-block entirely and just use his tongue to grab it.) Then take the key to the keyhole at the end of the level.

Crystal Star World Secret Exit: At the beginning of this level, fall down the second pit that leads to a corridor that leads to a P-block. Grab it and take it with you. Go through the level until you reach a series of small platforms that you have to jump from one to another to that generally rise up and then fall back down again. At the very top of these platforms there are two pits. Fall down the one on the right and use your P-block to change the blocks into coins and open the path to the keyhole. Now go back to the beginning of the level and fall down the first pit to find the key. Bring the key back to the keyhole to exit the level.

Sky Star World Secret Exit: Grab the Lakitu’s cloud towards the beginning of the level and take it as far as you can. Eventually you’ll reach a point where you have to abandon it (when you get to the red angled thing that lets you run up walls.) The next part is kind of tricky. You have to get some momentum going in the cloud (by pressing up) so that when you jump out, it floats straight up. Then quickly run up the wall and jump back in the cloud at the top of the cliff. Then you can take the cloud to the right. As soon as you can, go straight down to reach a small place with some baseball chucks and a hammer brothers guarding a “?” block. Hit the “?” block to get a key, and then take the key back to the left in your cloud. Stay towards the ceiling, and eventually you’ll encounter the keyhole.

Ice Star World Secret Exit (C): At the beginning of the level, fly straight up to find the key resting on top of a tree. Then head through the level as normal until you reach a place where you have to jump from platform to platform of frozen coins. Fall down at the edge of the cliff here to reach a lower path that will lead you to the keyhole.

Pipe Star World Secret Exit: Go through the level until you reach a point with five vertical pipes next to eachother. Make sure you either have a shell with you or a cape. Take the fourth one from the left to get to the next passage. To the right, there is a destructible block. Use your shell or cape to smash it, and go through the small passage to the right to find the key in a "?" block. Take the key through the level until the very end, right before the goal. Drop down the pit before the goal and fall to the left to reach a pipe that will lead to the keyhole.

Bowser's Star World Secret Exit (M): Take the skull raft, as normal, until you reach the area with the gray blocks above the lava. When you get to the third set of theses blocks - the one with the winged goombas walking down the side - do NOT go on this platform, but instead follow the skull raft until it. Smash the block down here to get the key. Fall down the next pit (with the dragon coin) to reach a pipe that leads to the upper part of the level. Get the cape here if you don't have one already, and fly all the way to the left with the key to reach the secret exit.

Backdoor Star World Secret Exit: Go through the level, taking note of what color the "!" blocks are (or their outlines, if you don't have the appropriate switch palace activated.) On the long platform between the red blocks and the blue blocks, if you wait, you will see a "?" block moving along with the spiked columns. There are some invisible coin blocks below the "?" block, so jump to reveal those. Then, when the "?" block appears, jump to hit it and reveal the key. Then quickly duck (if you're super mario) and jump onto the block to get the key, and then frantically jump while ducking to get off the block before it rises again and crushes you. This is tough to do and may require a few tries. Continue through this area, past the door, until the end, where you see the keyhole. Jump down to it and hit it in midair with the key to get the secret exit.

Secret Star World Normal Exit (C): You can use the cape to smash through the blocks all the way to the end. Just have patience.

Secret Star World Secret Exit (E, Y, C): Make sure you have an enemy (koopa or goomba) in your item block when you enter this world. Use your cape at the beginning to fly up through the blocks (use a flying spin jump) and then head to the upper-lefthand corner of the level. You will find here a small room with a block surrounded by two enemy-only blocks. Use the enemy you have on reserve to hit this block and reveal the key. Grab the key and head to the right. Try to stay low towards the ground as you smash your way onward. Eventually, the blocks at the bottom will end, and you can jump onto a small platform of three blocks, and then onto a bunch of deadly black plants (if you have Yoshi.) I suppose there's probably a P-block hidden somewhere that will allow you to get a star hidden in the three blocks that will let you run on the plants, but I don't know how to do this, and Yoshi works just as well. Run all the way to the right to find the keyhole. You should be sure to fly up towards the end of the level after the goalpost, though, and read the info block here before you exit for good.

...

At this point, you should have 99 points. Actually, you should have 100, but I don't know where the 100th one is (can someone help me?)

Is there anything more? What about the Big Boo that has been referenced to?

Read on...

Bowser's Castle SUPER SECRET Exit (C): Yea, this one is really tricky. Bear with me.

1. In the beginning area, head to the right past the lava pit and climb the chain to reach a higher room. Go past the spikes and enter the door here.
2. In the next area, head left across the lava pits and take the first door you find.
3. Now head to the right, and take the second door in this area, the one above the lava pit.
4. Next, you'll be in a room with a bunch of flames and on/off switches.. use your cape to fly up the passage and reach a door at the very top.
5. The next choice is in a room with those spinning chain spike ball things.. go to the end of that room and drop down the pit before the door (angle to the right to avoid getting scorched by the statue at the bottom) and you'll find another door. Enter.
6. In this room, do NOT get any of the coins. Hit the P-block and run to the left side of the room. Run and duck under the solid block (which was a coin before you hit the block). When you're under it, stand up and you'll be pushed left, through the wall, to a secret area with the secret exit.

Yea, kinda cheap, I know. Using a game glitch as the only way to find a secret world is kinda sketchy, but hey, shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. The secret world is pretty awesome. If you can get there. Go to the Star Road and notice the glimmer in the center...

...? Normal Exit (C): Run and fly through the level to the right until, near the end, you see a pit with an arrow pointing up inside it. Fall down this pit to reach a new area. Head to the right, then the left at each junction to reach the exit.

...? Secret Exit (C): This exit was actually easier for me to find than the normal one. To reach it, near the beginning of the level (but not the very beginning, it's somewhat to the right), fly up to reach a bunch of blocks surrounding a brown block with a P-block inside. Get the P-block and take it to right. If you hit the P-block, a bunch of coin arrows will appear above you that will lead you to a door, but if you hit the block right after you get it, the arrows will disappear before you reach the door. Anyways, you want to take it to the spot right after the set of platforms with four pipes attached. Hit the block here and a secret door will appear in the middle of a set of platforms. Enter. This door will take you to what is undoubtedly the coolest area in the entire game. Anyways, head all the way over to the right, past the blue pipe. You'll notice here that there is a glitchy "?" block, and if you try to hit it, you actually pick it up, like.. a key? Take it with you into the pipe and, yes, it will transform into the key in this area. Take a left, then a right at the two junctions to reach the keyhole, and the Boo World.

Big Boo's World notes:

IMPORTANT: Once you complete Big Boo's World 1, the path behind you will close, forcing you to trudge ahead until you have completed most of the world.

NOTE: You should beware of how the levels in Big Boo World work. Getting the normal exit on a level will open up the path ahead, but also close off the path behind you. Getting the secret exit will open up the closed path two levels back. In other words, if you get the normal exit before the secret one on a level, you won't be able to go back to the Star World until either you beat one of the Boo level's secret exits first or you reach Boo World 6.

Big Boo's Star Road Secret Exit: From your experiences in Star World, you should definately know better than to get the secret exit before the regular exit. If you do so, you're locked out forever, and you probably deserve it for being so dumb.

Big Boo's World 1 Normal Exit (C): This level is identical in most ways to the Pipe Fortress, only it is "alive" now. What you have to do is collect a feather and then fly up in the main room to find a pipe on the ceiling and go in there. If you need to find a feather, there’s a P-block in the main room full of destroyable blocks. It’s in the top block four to the right of the two metal blocks. If you hit it, a secret door will appear that leads to power-ups. But watch out! Once you hit it, all the blocks will turn to ghosts. You'll definately take a hit here.

Big Boo's World 1 Secret Exit: Go to the door to the right in the main room (or go through the secret room with the powerups) to get to the room with the lava pit. Above the pipe are some invisible coin blocks. If you hit them, you can climb on top of the screen and go to the right to find the key and keyhole.

Big Boo's World 2 Secret Exit: In order to get this secret, you need to be small mario. Go through the level through until you get to the point where there are four green "!" blocks stacked on top of eachother. Go down the pipe (as small mario only) under these blocks to reach the key. Exit this area via the pipe on your left. Now take the key back to the right, past the area with the "!" blocks, and to the next part, where there are a bunch of small pipes that go down and come back up again (before the next set of pirahna plants.) At the bottom of these pipes, go in the one on the left to reach the keyhole.

Big Boo's World 3 Secret Exit (C): Go through the level until you reach a series of platforms so close to the ceiling  that you can see the black plants at the top. One of these platforms has a dragon coin on it, in the middle of a circle of ghosts. Fall down below these platforms to reach another platform with a gray P-block and a vine. Bring the P-block to the end of the area (where the door is) and then use it to change the black plants into coins, and then fly up and over the right wall. Go in the door here to reach the next area, which is filled with fake keys and keyholes. How do you tell which one is real? Cheat. Turn off the layer 1 of your emulator, and all the fake keys will disappear except for the real one (note: there's at least one fake key which does not obey this rule. The real key is in a large pile near the end. If the one you see doesn't meet this criteria, then don't pick it up.) Take the real key to the real keyhole, which is the one under the second information block in this area.

Big Boo's World 4 Secret Exit (C): This level is tricky. It's hard to explain exactly where the key is, since there are few distinguishing features that describe a given area. You want to go through the level until you reach a place where there's a moderately long platform about halfway between the bottom and the top of the level, and there's a dragon coin above it. If you fall below this platform and float under it, you'll reach a "?" block. Hit it with your cape to get one of those items that makes Mario float. Float up and right to reach a lone "?" block with the key inside. Hover above the key until the floating runs out, and then grab it and drop back down. Go to the right, down a series of boo platforms, until you reach a platform that doesn't change into boos at the bottom with a dragon coin on it. Then start climbing up the boo platforms to the right. When you're at the top, drop down below the long platform to reach another platform with the keyhole.

Big Boo's World 5 Normal Exit (C): Beware of touching objects in this level - they're liable to become boos and damage you. Run through the level and then fly up at the end to reach the real door - the door on the bottom is fake and made out of boos.

Big Boo's World 5 Secret Exit (C): Fly up towards the middle of the level to reach a platform with keys and keyholes. Some of them are really boos, though. The real key is the first one, and the real keyhole is the second one.

Big Boo's World 6 Secret Exit (E): The only way you can get this secret is if you bring a star with you and have all the switch palaces activated. Then you can take the path on the right. Use your star to cross the black plants and reach the key and keyhole.

Big Boo's Tower: At last! You made it! Now you have to climb. 100 levels. Yep, it takes a long time and is pretty boring. In case you're having trouble figuring out how to climb, use the chains above the candles.

Big Boo's Secret! Normal Exit: Hm, pretty empty, isn't it? Maybe. Use a cape to fly to the top of the mushroom house to get a gray P-block. Hit it, and then go back inside the house to find a hidden pipe. Go down it to reach the secret area, where there's an exit orb.

Big Boo's Secret! Secret Exit: Go into the secret area and get the key item. Use it (you have to jump on the floaty thing or something first to make it drop down) and then take it to the keyhole.
